Project Title: Implementation of Priorities of the European Adult Education Agenda - National Coordinators for Agenda Implementation
Implementation Period: 2024 – 2025.
Donor: Education, Audiovisual and Culture Executive Agency (EACEA) / ERASMUS +
Project Goal: In line with the Republic of Serbia’s determination to join the European Union and guided by the strategic framework defined in the strategies for the development of education and employment, this project aims to enhance the participation of adults in the educational system. The main goals are to improve the quality assurance system in adult education, enhance the relevance and transparency of educational and training offers, and promote dialogue and the development of social partnerships.
The project will focus on activities related to improving the initial education of subject teachers. This includes the development of qualification standards as a foundation for designing study programs, with a particular emphasis on considering opportunities to integrate andragogical competencies and competencies related to digitalization and the green transition. Another key aspect is the improvement of the accreditation system for training programs through the creation of a framework for assessing the capacity of training staff that is not based on qualification standards.
These reform efforts serve as a driving force for the development of a relevant initial education system within the broader education sector and the establishment of a functional market for non-formal training programs. By addressing the mismatch between the adult education system and the needs of the economy, social and personal development, as well as the underdeveloped and unsustainable system of social partnerships, lack of quality standards, and coordination problems in the development and implementation of qualifications and training programs, this project aims to effectively resolve these challenges.
